Bought a 55# bag of Munich the other day to do some Bocks and just some lagers in general. Being partial to a classic Rauch thought I would smoke some of the Munich.

All I have is a gas grill but figured there had to be a way to make it work. Wound up taking a can, drilling holes towards the bottom and top and filled with pieces of pecan. Took a little tweaking but it made smoke without a lot of heat.

And the frame with a screen bottom for the grain:

I wound up doing 16 pounds, about 4 pounds at a time. Some of it stayed on longer than others but anywhere from 20-45 minutes, just blended it all together. We'll see how it turns out when I get around using it.
