Hi.
I am a new member and trying to find out why my Rise homebrew kit will not ferment. I have added another yeast but it will not start to ferment. Temp 19-20.

We're going to need some details to be able to help. Maybe a link to the kit for starters?

Details of your process will also help. That kit gave you instructions. Share those if you can and let us know if you did anything differently. Here's some questions I have if it helps.

• What were the yeasts you used and how were they stored?
• Could the kit have been very old?
• What was the temp of the beer when you added the yeast?
• How long have you waited since adding yeast?
• Can you share picture of the beer?

What was the temp of the beer when you added the yeast?

Also, have you checked gravity or looked for a kraeusen ring? It might be fermenting but CO2 is leaking out the lid or stopper instead of going through the airlock.
