Yeah, pretty sure we all have one just like that kicking around somewhere. Glad you (or your ho) finally made yours.

Next up? Rocking chair made of pine cones?

That cap is upside down and it should have an arm that goes to a worm, or so I've been told, definitely not from personal experience.

Game, set, and match, Odorf.

I think around here, that funnel has about $40 worth of copper in it.

well some people like to sit outside and bbq..

I think what he meant to say was, I think if you took your art to the right place you could sell it. By "scrap yard" I bet he meant, the part of town that used to be the bad part but now has a lot of young people with a lot of money. Very cool stuff

Yeah, I meant no disrespect to your art...it's really creative. It was more a comment on the price of copper these days...:mug:

Thanks. For a minute there, I was worried I crammed my foot in my mouth for the millionth time in my life...

take a hellofa lot more than that to get me buddy.

we cool as polar bear sitting on an ice cube !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

gonna show you something that took a while to do.

took a 8mm brass case and filed a knotch in it

then, using a 6.5x55 brass case, I split it
8 mm whistles 003.JPG
then cut the neck off of it,
8 mm whistles 004.JPG
on a short piece of 1/4'' tubing i soldered the piece a cut off on the end half way,,
8 mm whistles 005.JPG
then trimmed the excess off of the tubing,
the neck i had cut off, soldered it onto the tubing as a spacer

heres the tricky part, slide the copper into the brass case, then push in or pull out to adjust the air/whistle, then solder

what you have is a bullet whistle.

BUT WAIT,,,,the madness is not over

Copper might not be the best choice of material, but could you make an adapter to a ball jar for making starters? One that accomodates a bung stopper and airlock?

maybe, I am trying to picture what you want.

are you talking about the round part of a mason jar lid

with a hole for a rubber bung?

then use the outter threaded ring to screw it to the jar?

yes, that would be easy

Doesnt make a lot of sound really... but for some reason every time he blows into it his backyard fills up with the neighborhood dogs...
