HLT?

Kind of thinking about building an HLT with an ice chest and a water heater element. Just wondering how well they hold up. Any other info you have to offer would be great.

so I need a new (bigger) Mash tun. Been using a Coleman 52 qt but a little small for some 10 gal batches. So turned 52 qt to HLT. added a 2000w element and a light switch. seems to work great so far. Working on building a PID to control the temps. Really happy so far. Now off to buy a 70qt Coleman cooler for new mash tun.
