Wouldn’t shock me as a lot of older releases have resurfaced the past couple of years.

Where you at Peleg?

Had it in September thanks to vantuylw. Very tasty, gushed a fair amount. That house microflora is definitely doing it’s thing

Oh wait no it was Prolegomena, ma bad

First HF bottle I bought... was so bummed no saisons were available, and the cash only thing and per person growler limit (if I remember correctly) amounted to a much different Hill experience than we enjoy these days.

I remember times I visited when HF had zero bottles for sale, I bet that hasn't happened in a while. Lately it seems they always have 10+ different types of bottles to go, as well as on site stuff. Pretty cool.

My first visit to VT was for Heady Topper. I discovered HF and I will probably die in my youth because of the ensuing alcoholism. But at least it'll be fun while it lasts. Will never forgive myself. They had Art and E. for sale (spring 2012) and I only bought an E. because I was an idiot. Oh how times change.

Hey, at least you didn't buy 2 of those Arts just to trade them away for Dark Lord.

Because peer pressure, 10/14 Anna.

Per my initial review,

This is my favorite HF shelf beer after Arthur, but it’s splitting hairs, and I love them all. Aged quite well, brett a bit more dominant than when fresh. Honey still there, and more carb than fresh. I’d say this is at or past its peak, don’t foresee it getting better. It’s still awesome though.

At $10 a bottle, Hill Farmstead’s “shelf” saisons remain the best deal in craft beer.

After this, I was told that brettanomyces is not a part of the yeast strain for Anna. Regardless, this beer is still good.

It just occurred to me that this yr will conclude without my annual visit to the Hill — first time in 5 yrs... Stupid West Coast move. PATHETIC!

(P.S., Mikecap, I just discovered I have a bottle of 09/2014 Anna still hangin' out, so I suppose I should give in to peer-pressure too #amirite Might hold off till the holidays tho so I can side-by-side w/ a fresh bottle my buddy has.)

(P.P.S., any of you good people wanna send me some bottles of Arthur? So awesome that it seems to always be available these days.)

Anna 2014 was one of the best beers at FOFA 2017. That's saying something.

Also Vera Mae 2016, which is a tragically underrated HF beer IMO.

Inspired by recent posts, I just opened an older bottle.

I had my first taste of HF in 2013. I thought, at the time, that I’d never make the trek from Boston all the way to Greensboro. In Sept of 2014 I made my first trip and bought some Convivial, Dorothy, and Anna. This is the last bottle I have from the trip.

Fantastic carbonation. Honey sweetness is still very present and is balanced by a lingering peppery note. Slightly tart — girlfriend describes it as “juicy.” I expected it to be very yeasty, and that’s not the case.
