There was no Gin Clara on Friday and yes those Gyros were insane

Took the "you just missed Gin Clara" text a little too literal then!

Friday was the first time I've seen a lineup going out the door for the bottles, but huge kudos to the HF staff for ensuring even that moved pretty quick!

When I got the email regarding the 3 month pause...

Yeah, I was afraid for a permanent pause.

I blended 6/2017 Anna with a '16 3F geuze last night to excellent result. The honey sweetness and geuze sharpness and funk worked really well together. Why I hadn't already done this I have no idea, but I'm going to try more of these experiments soon. Thinking Clara and a plum Tilquin next...

I really want to believe that the conversation overheard at Hill Farmstead in this piece is fictional, but there are enough incredibly dumb beer geeks out there that it's totally plausible:

Oh, I'm sure there are some serious mega ultra cicerones out there that'd have these conversations, with all their expertise from the 2 years they've been drinking hazy IPAs... Sucks they had to write this article in such a way. Sounds a lot worse than it typically is. Makes it seems like all you find are *********s. Plenty to go around, but take any population and you'll probably find plenty of *********s.

Drinking a 5/2014 Arthur. Utterly amazing. Lime, cream, minerality.

Drink it now if you're sitting on some of these.
Minerality
Minerally
Minereality
Mineralogy of Morals

Can we get a Cicerone® approved descriptor of Arthur?

Oh, and I can search your weak ass non-Cicerone® qualifications on their website, so don't play any games. (Not directed at you Stewmeister)

At least we agreed that doesn't taste like rocks.

Not gonna lie... minerality was definitely the first word that came to mind when drinking a 1/2014 Arthur the other night. It was not delicate or easily missed, and even the mineral note more than held its own against some extremely rich/porky/spicy food.
