I know a handful of people who would likely be in for the second bus from Waterbury if this is a thing
I'm trying hard to figure it out. Lot of ins and outs here. I'll say 'yes', there will be a second bus...Still working on product/price/time. I'm home the next two days, so I'll have this finalized by then. That's raqnroll's gig. Not sure if he was planning a 2nd bus or not though.
each brewery does poor from their own little table under a larger tent which houses all of the breweries I think last year maybe there was 2 large tents total most breweries bring 2 to 3 beers where is HF will have more than that and some get tapped after or something kicks. Not that I expect anyone to take me up on it, but if someone wants my DD ticket for FOFA, feel free to shoot me a PM - it's all yours since we'll be on the Barton shuttle.
Anyone who's attended previous years, how is the festival set up? I have to imagine that with so many amazing breweries there they won't each have their own pouring booth, rather everything being poured from one (or more?) communal beer stations.
Also, super excited for the full beer list to be released - that's got to be coming soon since we're less than 2 weeks out!
My memory from last year was one large tent set up parallel to the parking spots that run along Hill Road. They set up a single long line of folding tables and all the breweries pour from there. Food was on the other side of the lawn and there was a small, central tent for shade that some folks used.
Some pictorial evidence that isn't great but gives an idea. Here's the main tent being set up earlier in the week.
And here's the edge of the small tent that was in the center of the field.

Wow, looks super chill. I was sort of expecting a packed lawn with guests spilling inside due to large number of attendees, but I guess they limit the tickets enough to make it a laid back experience. Now I really can't wait to hang out up there in a couple weeks!
It's a little more crowded than that second picture seems. That's not showing the main tent where the majority of folks are, but they do give folks enough space that you're only ever crowded when you're in the biggest lines.Wow, looks super chill. Here's the SP line in all its glory.
Never been but imagine I'll do this since I'll be at the CW event beforehand. I'd prefer to survive the day.it's really what you make it, that's one thing that's so great... the first year or two, I tried to get all the things I wanted to try... so you can tick and try a bunch of hard to find beers
or you can just avoid the lines and get just as great beers on lines w/ less hyped beer... mind you, we're still talking HF and SARA and the likes
you can go hard and not stop... the first couple times I spent most of my day getting beers and only ate because friends would bring me food... last year, I took breaks to get in the middle of the field and talk to people... sit down on the grass and enjoy a beer... took 2 food breaks...
honestly, last year was probably my favorite because of the way I handled myself...
Holy sheeyat.S&S#6 is in cans now? Did I miss discussion of this?
Are you going?i would really appreciate that! i don't think i've met a good amount of the TBer's coming out!
I was going to make a joke about how I skipped the Side Project Line last year thanks to having generous friends who were willing to wait in it and give me a taste or two. Then I blew up that picture, saw myself, and realized it was taken during the one time where I was standing in that line.![]()

I mean, I didn't end up waiting through the whole line for a pour since it was taking too long, but I am definitely in the thick of it there.
See you there bud. Been too longyes sir!! i miss you man!
Still 12 days out, can't really trust a forecast until a day or two in advance. I wouldn't worry just yet.Hoping the weather improves for FoFA.... Outlook right now looks wet.

or skip the wait and drink 4 HF beers without waiting
I can get on board with those as being right up there for me...favorites last year were probably BA Dorothy, BA Vera, and Capitola Sunset... didn't wait in much of a line for any of those pours

That Mikkeller was pretty outrageous... Capitola Sunset was on at the same time as West Ashley early on and Tim was really stoked that I went for Capitola 2x while everyone was hitting on Ashley.Capitola Sunset, Tete de Cuvee (shared a pour with a friend who waited in line), Sarrasin, and that Mikkeller Spontanquadrupelblueberry were my favorites from last year.
