It's definitely lighter, more subtle. But I get a lot more nuance, and none of those plastic phenols I got every time in b1. The level of tartness is perfect for me as well.
Ya know, I've heard of multiple complaints of plastic bottles and the three times I had it, it was always perfect with no plastic to speak of whatsoever. I can absolutely see how that would impact your opinion too. I've had that ruin Grrrz bottles for me. I must've been extremely lucky.

long time lurker, first post...

I had the most recent batch of BBR over the weekend and I was overwhelmed by the plastic flavor. Honestly, it kinda ruined the beer for me. I'd never had previous batches, but I can't imagine this is the intended flavor. Wonder if it's a bad bottle or just my overly sensitive nose/tastebuds. I'm also highly sensitive to diacetyl, but no idea if there's a correlation there.
 
Sucks to see Jim go - guy always had a smile on his face every time I saw him at Hill and he contributed a lot to the brewery on the business side.
