and this may just be me getting antsy... but when do they normally update the to-go bottles for the week? wednesday, right?

  • Nordic Saison: $10, 750ml
In May of 2014, our friend and mentor Anders Kissmeyer visited Hill Farmstead Brewery, along with our dear friend Will Meyers of Cambridge Brewing Co., to brew a special collaborative beer. Inspired by our guests and their journeys, this beer was once again brewed with the resourcefulness and inventiveness of the Nordic tradition, as well as the creative spirit of its three architects. A lively, complex, slightly tart Farmstead ale with honey, local rhubarb, rose hips and heather flowers. Best enjoyed chilled between 40-45F.
  • Elaborative 4: $10, 750ml
Originally brewed in August of 2015 with our friends Brad Clark of Jackie O’s Pub & Brewery, Chad Yakobson of Crooked Stave Artisan Ales and Cory King of Side Project Brewing, we once again brew this beer—inspired by the German radler—with ample amounts of grapefruit zest and juice, wheat, and oats. In perfect time for our Festival of Farmhouse Ales, where we'll be joined by these same friends again... this bright, aromatic Farmstead ale is a refreshing 3.2% abv and now in a larger format from the original release—for better sharing! Best enjoyed chilled between 40-45F.
  • Vera Mae 2016: $20, 750ml, Limit 2 Bottles per Person (credit card and matching ID required; please see bottle release policy)
Vera Mae was our grandfather's eldest sister; Hill Farmstead Brewery rests upon the land that was once home to her and her 13 siblings. In her honor, this Farmstead ale is crafted from Vermont organic spelt, American hops, Vermont wildflower honey, dandelion flowers from our fields, our farmhouse yeast and water from our well. Aged in French oak wine barrels and bottled conditioned, the result is an elegant, luminescent representation of spring in Vermont: lightly tart, bright, effervescent and delicate—passing quickly while leaving just the slightest, most pleasing memory of sunshine, warmth and the promise of more. Best enjoyed chilled between 45-50F.

Going to be one of my lighter HF purchase trips bottle-wise, which I'm actually kind of glad about. Still have several cases of saisons from the last couple of trips I'm working my way through, including a bunch of Nordic. Elab 4 750s are tempting as **** though, I could crush that all day in the South Carolina heat.

Different label on the Elab 4, no mention of lactose....wonder if they changed it up a bit. I had he first iteration onsite and thought it was a great beer.

figures the heat would hit VT when I go up... at least Saturday's temps are decent... is it foliage season yet?
