I'm planning to. I need to go up to DC anyway to submit a visa application at the Chinese embassy, so that's already a little under half-way there. I start teaching summer classes the day after Memorial Day so it would effectively be my summer vacation.

I'll be up there 26th - 28th... let me know if you do go

Brad is the best!

it would be a great time to go...
registered :)

what's the deal with this DD thing? i mean i understand the reasoning, but how do you guys normally handle it? find a buddy that doesn't like awesome beer? pregnant wives? party bus?

never been to the Hill, would FoFA be a bad way to start?

maybe i can hitch a ride with Brad from Jackie O's haha
I don't think there's a better time honestly... I mean no it's awful! You spend the whole time standing in lines 2 miles long, nut to butt with a bunch of sweaty nerds waiting for a chicago pour of whatever shelf turd is still on by the time you get to the front. The brewers and staff are all mean and a polka band plays Ke$ha covers the entire time.

all of the above... a lot of carpooling... someone usually has a DD who is willing to give a couple people rides... someone always is willing to sacrifice themselves for the better good

Going to give my wife the gift of a FoFA registration tonight for our wedding anniversary.
If we miss out I'll blame Shaun for my eventual failed marriage.

Not at all. It's not a great time for bringing things home with you, but a great chance to meet HF regulars and try a wide variety of their beers (and others) in a super relaxed environment. The last time I went was 2014. I got to meet Os and his crew (amazing people) as well as running into 10-15 beer people from around the country that I know from releases at other breweries. Just an amazing time every year.

Side note: My DD situation fell through the day of the event, but a certain TB member was able to provide the hookup as well as hanging out for about an hour before the event. He also tipped us off to an amazing place to stay. I rented that house last summer for 3 nights and have it rented again 4th of july weekend this year (though I may not make it if this baby doesn't show up soon).

Seems like a great chance to meet some of you guys too, regardless of where you're from. Not only am I hoping I get a ticket, but there are a lot of people from this thread that I'm praying get a ticket.

Like, even if we don't end up spooning and feeding each other cheese all night, it's always cool to put faces to names.

Anyone know if a person under 21 can enter the event? I was going to take my daughter up that way camping and it just happens to be near the same day. Was wondering if I could pay for my ticket and she could enter with me.

email them. they allow under 21 on premise during usual operation.

I'll post this now , will again in the future. I'f anyone wants to camp for free for the Anniversary week ,let me know. I'm in between the Brewery and Parker pie. Off mud bottom road , just land but i have a driveway installed and we're like 5 miles from lake parker for those hungover floating on tube days . I have a Portable shower system 500 gallons and intend to builld a outhouse and temporary Hang out building by then. Anyways my Contribution to the community. End of May might be cold at night but its Vt. kinda expected at this point.
Could this be a possibility for FoFA? I'm registered and this seems like a fun way to do it if I do indeed get the tickets. Might try to hit Percy Hill and Strangfolk playing in VT on Friday before.

I did, still waiting to hear back from them. I was planning to visit HF a few days before this but I may swap my travel plans around but only if I can bring my kid in with me. I don't live anywhere nearby and can't just drop her off in the middle of nowhere with strangers lol.. father of the year material right there :p

It looks like the Strangefolk thing is called "Garden of Eden", but it's actually Stateside at Jay.
