As someone from the proud pizza city of New Haven, I agree with this 100pct. I'd live at roberta's if they'd let me.
To clarify, I'm still of the opinion that the best New Haven spots > everything, but there is definitely great pizza in NYC, and Roberta's is a legit perfect eating and drinking establishment.
 
Off topic at this point in the thread, but Farmer Wave is really tasty. Love the lime notes.

Drinking one now...while eating an American Flatbread Revolution pizza...Waterbury Market has them on sale for $6.99...Love the lime zest notes...Definitely over cooked the pizza (sorry, 'pie')...
 
Also had a great day at HF today to get this back on track.



CD5 was so good. Sue was great as well.

Honestly wasn't all that impressed with the happy stuff on tap from them. Edward and Harlan were good, Susan was good, S&S solid but nothing really blew me away...

Looking forward to returning tomorrow for some CD17 and WOL Thiriez and then heading to Parker Pie.

Scott's isn't mustard based! You sure you're not thinking of something in the Midlands, like Shealy's in Leeville? Or that slop Maurice's that all the trailer trash love?
 
Besides Costco pizza this is always a late night fave.

Oh, also saw the one and only Shaun at the brewery. He yelled at a lady carrying a baby because apparently she walked on the lawn when she wasn't supposed to....:confused:
We have a pond at the back that she was walking towards. Having people go back there is prohibited as it could be a liability but yeah just pretend Shauns a jerk.

I've stayed out of the pie discussion but I can't any longer. Sicilian pie? Sauce on top and use sliced mozz, not shredded. Light layer of sauce and finish with parm.

I'm sure there's a reason I just thought yelling at a customer across the property was a bit much and the tone could have been much more polite. Have no other interactions with him to go off of but that seemed a bit rude to us. Everyone else I encountered there was very polite and understanding despite us not knowing the procedures since it was our first time.
