NYC pizza isn't great in general, so you're right about that. I'm even willing to entertain the concept that Jersey Pizza isn't awful since I haven't tried any, but New Haven is pretty impossible to beat when it comes to thin crust pizza.tehzachatak curious as to where you think the best thin crust pizza is? Having lived in NY and NJ for considerable amounts of time I find NYC to be fairly overrated outside of a few spots. (North) Jersey is much better as a whole.
bearsonacid yeah I don't **** with that Trenton ****
Jersey is like 2 different states... never get pizza or bagels in the southern part

Going to have to agree to disagree. You clearly have fantastic taste in comedy so you must have some good taste overall
Man, this thread is really taking a bunch of people on this website who I thought were reasonable human beings and showing them for who they really are
Someone needs to rep with some legit Jersey pizza.
South Jersey is pretty much just Delaware with their weird accents
Damn it I may have to drive to East Orange nowOK, who's volunteering to get a pie from Star Tavern up there?

You're getting a Lou Malnati's Pie next time I come to VT.I would first like to thank MikeG for providing us lunch the other day! People often bring us beer to try(which we decline), but rarely are we brought food. Some described the pie as "Pizza Cake," which seems fitting. The sauce was sweet and tasty. The cheese, I assume is domestic parmesan, has good flavor, but was sparse. The pizza cake was good, would eat again, but would not seek out.
Ready for the next competitor in the official talkpizza.com competition

So glad you mentioned HF in this pizza thread. Maybe that pizza vendor dude will come back and we can all bring pizza up there for him so we can eat pizza while he makes pizza and talk about pizza.Every line at open for the next month gonna include 12 dudes with pizza boxes stacked on their coolers.
This is nuts. Di Fara, Roberta's, Denino's, Rubirosa make some of the best pizza in the world. I can see Jersey but if someone brings up that travesty they call pizza in Chicago...NYC pizza isn't great in general, so you're right about that. There is really really great pizza in NYC (though still not as good as the best in NH), but as a whole NYC pizza is pretty mediocre.
The absolute best in NYC >>> Anywhere else
As someone from the proud pizza city of New Haven, I agree with this 100pct. I'd live at roberta's if they'd let me.This is nuts. Di Fara, Roberta's, Denino's, Rubirosa make some of the best pizza in the world. I can see Jersey but if someone brings up that travesty they call pizza in Chicago...

I WISH TO FIGHT YOU TO A DUEL, SIR
This is what I meant. I was denigrating the quality of your dime a dozen "NYC style Pizza", not claiming there isn't great pizza in NYC.There is really really great pizza in NYC (though still not as good as the best in NH), but as a whole NYC pizza is pretty mediocre.
