When the sun rises in the west and sets in the east. When the seas go dry and mountains blow in the wind like leaves.

Or when the beer is ready.

On Deck: Mary, Sumner

Tried to look up Sumner but came up empty. New beer like Hygge was when that came out?

ha... some of my friends are coming around to it as well... others are just not as crazy about it as me though

Happy to see Pilsner style making a slow but steady comeback. When done well, it's one of the best. I've only sampled Mary, but was quite impressed.

Cask Mary will flick your bean. **** even my wife likes it. Was at the Farmhouse last April for the tap takeover. She than proceeded to drain the cask the next day after 90+ in cheese plates.

That being said, my 40th is Friday 4/22. Who wants to open bottles or plans on going up?

Clarification on visiting HF, is everything on draft available for pours at the brewery or only what they list under on site offerings for 25cl pours?

For example, S&S 3 and 5 are currently on draft but not on the on-site offerings page. Can you order a glass of these or do you have to get a growler which you could then open there? (Can you do this?)

No.

Yes.

which you could then open there? (Can you do this?)

No.

However you can get SAMPLES (like, 1/2 oz) of anything you want.

No, not all draft offerings are available onsite...typically only lower abv offerings are.
No, you cannot purchase a growler on site and then open it there.

They only offer full pours of the lower ABV beers (the ones listed as available on site). You cannot get full pours of any of the DIPAs. Also, you cannot open any growlers you get while on site. Basically the only beer you can drink is one that they pour for you, either from the tap offerings or on site bottle list.

LOL woah, thanks guys. Seems like a limited amount of offerings available for drinking at HF? And I mistaken there? Only 4 draft and a few bottles available? Is this typically larger and I just caught it at a bad time?

That's pretty normal. You are limited in terms of the amount you're allowed to drink also, it's not a bar. Drink a cool bottle and then go to Parker Pie :)

Hmm ok, I guess my plan of spending a full half day out there is going to have to change.
