It's too easy to spend a whole bunch of money there, especially with the oysters and cheese plates.Having a serious issue narrowing down what I'm going to get growler fills of this weekend. Definitely SS4, Mosaic, and George, and then 1-2 more out of SS2, Excursions 5, Abner, Citra, and Susan.
FWIW, I though Excursions 5 was absolutely ******* amazing. Even for HF, I thought it was shockingly great. I only had a single 750ml of it a couple weeks ago, wished I had bought more.Having a serious issue narrowing down what I'm going to get growler fills of this weekend. I'd probably just get them all if we weren't also hitting Treehouse on the way up, and hopefully getting some cans of Heady as well. One man can only drink so much hoppy goodness (especially when he's only drinking 3 days a week).
That Excursions 5 is amazing. I'd make sure to get Susan too. I'm not sure why I only ever get 1 750ml of Mosaic. That beer blows me away each time. A top-5 beer for me.Having a serious issue narrowing down what I'm going to get growler fills of this weekend. I had one in the taproom a few minutes ago. Par Closest HF I have had to Flora B5. Little more grainy tasting Than I remember B5 being.M&C5 is incredible. Anyone open an Anchorage WOL yet?
I agree on above. It's super earthy, dank. Not bright, but just loaded with grassy tropical aroma. My understanding is its brewed with German hops that are grown/bred/whatever to taste like the classic New Zealand hops. To me it was like Nelson-Galaxy combo almost.notes, please?*

Says on the website Australian Vic Secret and German Hallertau Blanc. The latter is basically the German Nelson. Don't know Vic well enough to say if it's galaxy-ish.I agree on above. Ah there you go. It's awesome. (I know nothing about brewing and plenty about drinking.)Says on the website Australian Vic Secret and German Hallertau Blanc. The latter is basically the German Nelson. Don't know Vic well enough to say if it's galaxy-ish.

Out of curiosity, how many growler fills are reasonable in one visit? I know the site says no limits but would it be a dick move to try and get 10+ growlers filled? Beginning to plot out a VT excursion for March as part of a larger east coast trip, much excite!
I seen a dude take about 30 or 40 cases of bottles out of there once. I thought that was insane...Last time I was up there me and my buddy did a dozen each and it didn't seem to be any issue at all.
Also heard that some guy got 75 growlers filled, which took about 2 hours. No idea if that story is true or not though.

Come to NYC homie
Was there the day after this happened. he got 30+ more the next day...thread on BA blew up because people called him out and everyone he was muling for or whatever began chiming in talking about how generous he was, greatest guy ever etc etc. guess i'd have the same reaction if the potential for getting all the HF while sitting on my couch was at risk

That still gets people all rustled huh?Good on them. The complete opposite of Treehouse where they make a big show out of 'big tippers'.
I don't care that they celebrate the tip, that is fun... It's the asking for a tip part on every transaction that I think is lame. That still gets people all rustled huh?
