Any updates on Sankt Hans bottles carbonating yet? I was pretty disappointed with the first bottle I opened. I only had the last batch after it was over a year old, but it was awesome

I've heard mixed results. I would suggest storing them at about 70-75 degrees if you open another and it's not carbed yet.

Talk to me about these tasting room experiences, please.
Tasting room was actually closed this weekend. They said the final touches were being put on it and it should reopen soon. Full pours and bottle pours all available in the retail area for now. Souvlaki guy serving food outside, apparently going to be coming back for the near future.

So they're offering bottle pours, not just full bottle purchases?!?! I would assume the bottle pours are the normal saison lineups and not special releases like the CDs, right?

you can do full bottle purchase to drink there as well.

If I may clear this new retail discussion all up...

Most bottles being offered for sale are also offered for on-site consumption, but must be purchased as such and be poured by staff. "Bottle pours" means the entire bottle is being purchased, not an opening of a bottle for someone to have a taste of or a few ounces. CD 13 was offered last week on-site in retail as the tasting room was closed for the week so the bar top could be sealed. The new retail spot will be opened up this week starting Wednesday where growlers will be filled. There will be food vendors for this week, and after that cheese plates will be offered next week.

Perfect, thanks for the clarification. I was a little unsure if bottle pours were offered i.e ordering a taste of something in a bottle, then recapping or putting a wine stopper in it. I assumed it was as you described but appreciated the clarification. Also: cheese! I hope the cheese is from that Cheese Monger guy with the crazy beard and short jean shorts that was at FOFA. That guy's stuff was the ****!

Blair has some great, award winning cheese that I'm sure will be featured from time to time.

Yeah, CD13 is onsite only, full bottle at a time, $30 and change for the bottle.

Side note - Darren (or someone, but I feel safe in assuming it is Darren) built a pretty cool rack that sits in the back of the room for partial bottles to keep them angled after the first pour until someone goes back to finish the bottle off... Not quite a lambic basket, but I still want one!

There were also what looked like multiple pallets of a fairly juicy sounding beer sitting in the conditioning room when I was there on Saturday... I think the tag on the pallets said it was bottled 10/1.

Out with it! What beer was it!

When did the Clara bottles with a June bottling date get sold? The ones I bought this weekend were bottled in May March.. but I'm pretty sure I already drank one of those June ones like a month plus ago? Weird...
