Assuming it is Boos that was alluded to in that tweet, I wonder how much Shaun has to dish out.

That was my thought too, but now it sounds like it will be a different variety of fruited lambic each day this week. I would think they'd have a decent amount of Boos if they got a similar allotment to Hommage. They had that as 1/pp and it lasted 3ish days IIRC.

For those of you who may have missed out on tickets for our Festival of Farmhouse Ales on August 8 via the lottery, we will release three pairs of tickets each day during normal retail hours, beginning Weds., June 3, and ending Sat., June 13!

$100 per ticket, limit 2 tickets per person (includes a designated driver ticket; see site for complete details).

These are first come, first served, available at 12 p.m., when we open each day!

lol, it's like they enjoy a little shitshow every now and again :)

It would seem that way, especially given that they announced how many tickets there will be per day. I think it's great they are having some tickets for sale in a way that advantages locals (cue argument about what "locals" means in the context of HF...) but that kind of detail is the sort of thing that's going to have people on edge and wondering what's the earliest they can show up.

I actually do think that they like to generate a certain amount of antsy-ness to help drive business. It seems like they tend to do things of this nature, when possible, after "slow" spells. At least that's the impression I get.

I can't blame them. Though I do think Flora Cherry was probably enough incentive for a lot of people to come up, the addition of lambic and FoFA tickets is sure to compel more people to make the trip up (or down).

they know what they are doing... they heard all the complaints about the 1pp not being enough to drive traffic... they know what their traffic was like last week and can make educated guesstimates...

not to mention the low amount of tix per day, they didn't say at what time of the day and they spread it to each day...
if anything, that should let people know that Wednesday is not the only option

Has HF possibly reached the point where Shaun is producing his base farmhouse ales as fast (or maybe even faster) than he can sell them?

Anyone know of a spot to purchase bottle shippers near HF, or Prohibition Pig? Thanks in advance.

faster than they can sell them at the shop? maybe.
They could easily distro like Lawsons used to (3-4 locations) and have stuff fly off the shelves.

Yeah I meant at the shop. Just an anecdotal observation (that may not be correct, of course) based on no limits on shelf saisons, different batches being for sale (I swear this has happened at some point recently - hasn't it?). You're absolutely correct he could easily take care of any product backlog in that way (or through even more kegging of them).

anyone have any more info on Being and Time? very curious about this one. Didn't actually think it existed until fofa announcement.

It was brewed in Jan 2011, Coolship spontaneously inoculated and then barrel fermented. Brewed with 50% wheat, so pretty similar to Lambic. Bottled in May 2013. 2nd batch was brewed Jan 2014, so following same timeline won't be ready for a bit, so the batch at FOFA will be #1. Has not previously been released, although Shaun has let a few people try it.

sounds terrible. I heard they already ran out

Somewhere ITT is a flick of the bottle and a pour I reposted a while back that Alec Lopez posted on the Gram. A friend got to try the beer a while back and got me really intrigued - I spoke to Shaun about B&T on one trip this winter. I asked about the future 'taproom only' scuttlebutt. He mentioned that the beer was particularly hard for him to come to a decision on the specifics of distribution and that at the time he had just been occasionally sharing them.
