And:

@sicknarlo: @HillFarmstead Do you think Flora Blue/Black will last into tomorrow?

@HillFarmstead: @sicknarlo Yes. But the limit may drop again. Have seen 3x more people in last 24 hours than expected. Record amount of visitors.

Convivial and Dorothy will both run out today / early tomorrow.
Black Nitro was also kicked.

Less than 20 cases of Flora Bl/Bl left as of 3:30p, will make it til tomorrow.

Wasn't too busy today

Were people let in at 11am again today? Convivial and Dorothy will run out before Saturday too? Jesus, that is a lot of people in 48 hours.

Should I be good for Flora, Convivial, and Dorothy if arrive at 12?

and new dorothy is much better than the past few iterations. doesn't taste like biting into a piece of chalk anymore.
Don't knock it, till you try it

If you want all those I would be there extra early tomorrow.
I showed up at 2p today and was out by 3:30p. Wasn't too busy today, yesterday was up there with busiest ever.

Hi Everyone,

Thanks so much to all of you who have visited this week. Wednesday’s turnout ended up being far greater than we expected—literally it was the busiest day in the history of our retail shop. So thanks for your patience, your support and your understanding as we tried our best to keep things moving as quickly as possible. We apologize to those who waited several hours in line. We are not satisfied with those wait times and we will continue to try to improve them.

Given the extreme circumstances this week we want to share our thought process with you. We always try to set limits such that a beer released on Wednesday of a given week makes it to that Saturday, as we understand people have commitments that often prevent them from visiting during the week. We also try to set the limit so that we can hold that limit (per person, per day) for the entire first week and sometimes beyond that (i.e., the recent Norma release). Demand and turnout are extremely difficult to predict and thus we sometimes have to adjust the limits day to day as we are doing this week. Again, this is an attempt to be as fair as possible and allow folks arriving on Saturday a reasonable chance of getting at least one bottle of a beer that was released on Wednesday. We do not always succeed, but this is what we try very hard to accomplish. Adding another layer of complexity, we try to set limits that make it worth the drive since many of our customers travel long distances and spend large amounts of their time to visit us. We are always thinking about this balancing act. Hopefully this provides some context.

So on to the rest of the week! We are doing everything within our power to make Flora Blue/Black last as far into the day Saturday as possible. Therefore, we will be dropping the bottle limit to 1 bottle per person (per day, as always) on Friday March 20th and Saturday March 21st.

Additionally, if the lines and waits begin to suggest that customers will have 2+ hour waits in the growler line we will drop the growler limit, as needed, to speed the line. If this occurs we apologize in advance and hope you understand that we are doing it to improve the experience for everyone.

Thanks again for all the support! It is quite humbling and we look forward to seeing many of you soon, or perhaps for one of our future releases.

Gratefully Yours,

The Hill Farmstead Brewery team

Totally thought DB Damon day eclipsed that

EBF and the fact that lots of people already took off Thursday and Friday for the tourney probably also increases the amount of people available to make the trip

Was at HF around 5 today. While the initial palates of Dorothy and Convivial were running low they pulled out brand new palates of each so there is plenty. Also, it was mentioned they had the most of Convivial so he was not worried about that one selling out.

They were doing bottle pours of the new Dorothy as part of the tasting which was nice, though I didn't think it was better then previous batches....the group I was with didn't buy any bottles of it.

Has anyone had this batch of Convivial? I'm not sure if it's just been awhile since the last time I had this or this is what happens with all beers after flora, but more bitter and funk?

The new Dorothy is certainly tasty.

Observations from being there today.....

1)..beer geeks are some ugly motherfuckers.

2) c'mon people show some personal pride for chrissakes, ha! Wash, comb your hair, brush your teeth, trim your neck beard before going out in public!

Blue/black is legit. Very tart, lotsa wine barrel, a little funk and some delicious fruit layered in. Wouldn't consider the bottle we opened a fruit bomb, there was a lot going on with it. I'm assuming b6 flora is the base? Blue/black was more tart but had a similar barrel character to b6. A+ would bang again
