Can I ask what time the line starts forming on a typical Friday if there's only regular shelf stuff for sale? Trying to make some plans for my first trip up. Thanks!

there was hardly any lines last Thurs/Fri and Norma was available... Thursday I got there at 2 and i was able to grab as many growlers as I needed since there was no one in line at the time. Fri earlier (say 1pm) there was maybe 10-15 people total in line..

A little preview of what you'll find on our retail shelves next week, beginning Wednesday, March 18:
.
Crooked Stave Artisan Beer Project St. Bretta Autumn
Crooked Stave Surette
Amager Bryghus (The new flashy site)/Grassroots Black Nitro
Mikkeller Nelson Sauvin Brut
Anna
Biere de Norma
Grassroots Brewing Convivial Suaréz
Grassroots Arctic Saison
.
And the debut of...
.
Hill Farmstead Flora Blue/Black
.
Flora is the wine barrel aged version of Florence (1915-1967), our grandfather's sister as well as the name of our wheat farmstead ale. Only a few barrels were selected, and that beer was aged further on a blend of fresh, hand-picked berries from Greensboro and East Hardwick. The result is a complex, elegant, fruit-forward blend that both marries and highlights each of its constituent elements.

$17/bottle; 4/bottles per person

And yet they had zero bottles available just two weeks ago. Not salty at all...

Just maxing out on bottles not including growlers/guest bottles/tasting/glassware/taxes that's $878.00. I foresee some people racking up that credit card debt this week

I'm pretty glad I CAN'T go up this week, tbh. I have very little self-control once I'm there. It was better when it was cash only. And Convivial and Anna are two of my three favorite case limit beers, so not getting a loooot of those really wouldn't be an option.

Which they'll immediately pay off by selling Flora Blue/Black and Norma on MBC

I knew I intentionally didn't calculate this for a reason. +5 growlers + arctic saison + a trip to EBF and trillium..................my head hurts

My fiancé gets angry with me when 10 HF bottles land outside my door and I tell her they were $100 total. My response is always, "Things would be worse if we lived on the east coast."

much as I'm not a dorothy fan, i'm excited to see how this turned out.

have you had it recently though? the in your face bitterness has faded and the yeast magic is happening

Do you still get the hops though? Or is it basically another HF saison, in which case he should probably just brew one of those instead.

some floral and citrus hop flavors still come through... but it's definitely now becoming secondary to the yeast...

I wasn't a super big fan of b1 or b2, lets see how b3 stands up.....

I have not. Had both fresh. I was under the impression since b1 bottle said " keep refridgerated " and its labeled as a Pale Ale, not a Saison, and that fresher is better for this bottle/style

EBF>Trillium>HF>Alchemist Release Party
Anyone else subjecting themselves/their finances/their significant others to similar punishment?

At least all the same beers for growlers are on as my last HF visit. Not sure if that is a good thing or a bad sign.

Dude, I'll teach you the secret for a happy marriage if you snag me 1 can of Petit Mutant. I'll also include a return 4 pack when they brew it next year at the new brewery just minutes from my haus.
