Excellent response. I'll rephrase. Why do you bash HF yet drink their beer?

The bottom line is no one was ever denied buying beer.
That's a categorically different situation from beer being denied altogether to potential or suspected mules as was alleged to be the case today, particularly since Art was projected to last into the weekend. It's not unreasonable in the least and actually makes sense to cut allotments in the express bottle line if there's a fear of running out of beer on a given day. When particular bottles get really low they're not sold in the bottle line at all. It sucks that the decision was made to cut the allocation on you, but it probably would suck even more to be in the growler line and be denied the opportunity to buy a particular bottle at all because they were all sold to people who didn't care to wait. With all due respect, I would like to rebut this. Not for this release but my wife and I went up the weekend of 10/4. Dorothy and Anna. 2 cases per. We had our 3 year old with us, scoped the growler line and decided **** it we wont make it in time to catch the Alchemist truck sale and a 3 year old in a car for the wait, "at least 3 hours", as Phil put it we opted for bottles only line. I got my 2 cases of Anna, wife got one, then the blonde chick with the ear plugs in asked if that was it. I said no, we'd also like 3 cases of Dorothy (being 2 PP and all). She then says "hold on" goes back and confers with Phil and I am assuming C/Karrie and she comes back and says to me, well we are going to cut the Dorothy limit to 6/ pp in the bottle line, it's getting pretty low, BUT if you wanted to wait in the growler line you can get 2 cases of Dorothy there. I was like OK whatever (cause this makes zero ******* sense to anyone at this point BECAUSE IT'S BOTTLES ONLY IN THIS LINE AND IT's IN BOTTLES) and got 6 (for each of us) and went to Waterbury. I wanted 2 cases of Dorothy in the "bottles only line" as advertised and I was told I couldn't get them there. So hearing someone getting "denied" bottles does not seemed far fetched to me. YMMV.
edit: I guess we would need to know which line they were in. If it were the bottles only line, I wouldnt be surprised. I felt like " Hey we will sell you our advertised allotments, but only if you wait to get them" if that;s the case then why not post a sep. limit for the bottles line?
Is this not a risk you take when waiting in the growler line and hoping to get a bottle that's at the end of its availability? I mean, it's the system HF has built. If you say bottles are available in the bottle line, then they should be available at the same limit you're imposing next door. If they run out, meh? That's life right. Anyway, glad to be up here, looking forward to more growlers to drink in barren NH, but I hope for my own sake (yes, selfish) that I don't have to deal with any of these logical flaws first hand.but it probably would suck even more to be in the growler line and be denied the opportunity to buy a particular bottle at all because they were all sold to people who didn't care to wait.

Two things:Shaun was trying to sniff out mules at the DB Damon release and grilling Women and older folks. Nothing is out of the realm of possibility. Anyone who was in the front of the DB Damon line saw this happening. Every single woman that I saw go up to the Pulpit of Shaun was asked questions like "Is this beer for you" " are you going to share this beer". One lady that was not happy with the line of questioning got all huffy with lord beer and said. "your label says share right on the bottom of it, what does it matter what I do with the beer I drove here from NY and waited 3 hours in line" Shaun looked stunned and gave her her golden ticket and moved onto grilling the next older gentleman.
Its his business and he is welcome do to whatever he wants but I have seen stuff like this happen with my own 2 eyes.
Also Clara was apparently cut down to a 1 case limit while people were in line today as well so anything is possible.
SORRY I'M A NOOB HRER.
Guy is trying to run a successful business, raise money for charity at events, brew the best beer I've ever tasted and all you guys do is speculate and **** on him. I don't get it.
You Vermont HF homers are some special people.

I would say it's the HF homers vs. the people who think Shaun acts like a total ******* tool a lot of the time. The HF haters vs. the HF homers/apologists reads like Team Edward vs. Team Jacob. This is awesome.

I think it's funny that many people don't realize how many craft brewers drink AALs on the reg.
