Promote whatever bottles, those retail hours are hard to hit W-F. Aren't most bottles going out of the state?...with tracking devices and tiny, furry notebooks filled with real existentialismsstics quotes.

RE: local accounts getting more - new accounts? all accounts will get more offerings? Or existing accounts will receive a consistent amount of Edward, unless you're Parker Pie, The Res, 3Penny, The Pig or Farmhouse T&G, who else has more than 1 HF line outside of those places?

I think you mean "What is Entitlement?".

Wednesday 10/15 through Friday 10/17/2014 or while supplies last – limited supplies of vintage bottles will be put on sale at our retail shop this coming week. 1 bottle (in total) per person, per day!

  • If there are multiple vintage beers on the shelf at the time you make your purchase you have to choose 1 bottle of all the options, it is NOT 1 bottle per beer that is available. 1 bottle (in total) per person, per day!
  • A new beer or beer(s) will be released each day (Wed/Th/Friday). Anything that is leftover at the end of one day may or may not be available the following day.
  • Stout lovers as well as wild beer lovers should be happy with the selections depending on the day… timing is everything =)
  • Again, these supplies are limited and once the allotment is gone, it is gone.
  • Thanks and see you soon!

Personally I don't care about this vintage sale. I want Art.

Please be next week, please be next week... I will be up Friday-Sunday regardless of what's on the shelf for anyone in town! Staying in Waterbury. Let's get dirty.

Hope the kid is doing well ;)

right now, I'm not so bummed but I imagine once people start saying what they are getting I may be a bit jelly...

that said, if Art truly does not come out this week, I'll be happy that I'm not missing that as this is the one week I cannot make it up...

my initial post was much longer explaining that what you referenced as me being selfish as not being the reason for my comment. I'm referencing time and time again Hill Farmstead raising issue with the long lines, bottle release madness and specifically they reference locals being locked out of these releases because we don't have the time to get in line at 8AM on a Wednesday. That's me included. I have a job and would get there @ 4:30 on a Wednesday if I leave early enough.

I'm not saying out of staters aren't welcome. I'm saying HFS says "locals can't get our beer....and releases are madness" and then they turn around and promote a new bottle coming out and get everyone excited. Two photos of this beer posted online reached 10-20 thousand people. Look @ HFS' twitter & Facebook followings. Thousands of people saw those photos. Art going on sale will be madness and it could be a single barrel release. no one knows.

I go up to HFS once every 2 weeks at the most. It's likely I won't go up this week which means missing Art if it comes out. If it just appeared on the shelf, it would at least last until next Wednesday so that I could arrange my time to go up and get a single bottle of it.

I've missed a few HFS beer releases this year, the single barrel CDs, Bliss of Absence and had to trade locally to get them because they'd go on sale Wednesday and be gone by Saturday. I'm not blaming HSF for that but those were mostly silent releases. I've had Art before and loved it but with the promotion I'm seeing around it, I might avoid HFS entirely A) because I don't want to wait in line for 4 hours and B) so someone else who hasn't had it will have the chance. I'll get to try a sip of it at a local tasting eventually so it's not that big of a deal.

See now why I shortened my last post? I tend to be a little long-winded and I'm sorry for the misunderstanding in my last post.

You? Long winded? Noooooooo
