This still open?
Sam, I don't really want to ship the bottle I have but if I end up going to captain Lawrence I can do this IP with you. Unless it's all Florence, I still have too much Florence left.

Hey man! Thanks. I can't ship now either as I'm getting married in October. Looking like I have something locked up, but hope to see you at CL saturday! Also, there's no such thing as TOO much Florence...

Yup. Wow. **** him. Also reminds me, for science I left a can at room temp for one week and tried it against a refrigerated can from the same four pack. Night and day.

What is it about Heady that would cause such a significant difference after a week? Can't say I've ever experienced that with any IPA/IIPA that had to be split due to fridge constraints.

Wait, was he lying when he said he has kept those cases of HT cold the entire time (or most of, we all everyone exaggerates their storage conditions to some degree)?

Respirologist have you traded for HT from this guy before?

I could store 12 cases in my chest freezer. It's Vermont, I wouldn't be surprised. Most of my neighbors kill enough deer every year and have at least 2 chest freezers. Just remove deer and fill with heady topper.

Not saying he's lying, just saying that a vermont redneck having enough cooling area to fill 12 cases of heady isn't out of the norm.

He's from Delaware.

Yeah I mean Delaware just blows right

They do have Dogfish Head there. Good in my book. I guess in some ways, running around VT getting 12 cases of Heady means less for us locals and yeah I hate that I have to go to 2-3 places now just to find one 4-pack or get in line at 7:30AM on a Thursday @ hunger mountain to get a case. so I guess I can hate the guy for getting 12 cases or hate the guy for trying to trade it all away or hate him for potentially not keeping it cold

but d-bags gonna d-bag. I've known for some d-bag stuff as well. Guess I just don't care enough to gang up on people any more for being shitheads. Beer is such a humongous community now that this stuff is going to happen. Thankfully, it's not happening as much considering how many people are out there that are ISO Heady despite not even knowing what a growler is.

I have a buddy who does babysitting for wealthy people in our area. They offered him a beer and it was heady topper...desite they don't even drink beer. It was stored in a cabinet above their wine fridge..cans were about 85 degrees to the touch. "when did you get these?" my buddy asked. The owner said, "we bought a case last year for a BBQ. it's a ****** beer we bought it cause it was in the newspaper as #1 in the world. I don't get the appeal"

Should I post his name & address on this forum and publicly crucify him for being a d-bag to precious heady topper?

Not everyone hangs out on forums all day some people are just idiots when it comes to craft beer.

actually another recent story. another local friend had 4 bottles of Norma stored at his parents basement since he doesn't have a proper cellar. His mom knew they were down there and decided to open one. tasted it, thought it had gone bad and poured all 4 down the drain. He only found out after seeing the empty bottles in their recycling bin. sure mom is a jerk for opening her son's beer and then taking it upon herself to pour it out..sure she's an eccentric but would we care as much if it was Bud Light? No, because we pout beers up as holy grails and **** on people who don't respect them like the word of god.

D-bags gonna d-bag even when they don't know they are d-bags.

If thats his prerogative to get 12 cases of Heady so be it, my problem is storage. I feel bad knowing some guy traded away XYZ Stout for a couple 4 packs of Heady that have been baking in the sun or at room temp and don't taste the way Kimmich made it to taste.

The difference being room temp Heady still has a decent nose but nothing compared to cold heady. Taste is nice but in the back of the tounge it lacks the bitter oily juiciness that is Heady. It doesn't taste old just tastes muted. Its color is even accelerated to a darker brown even at 2 weeks compared to bright yellow. I'm a snob 100%. Id drain pour room temp Heady and not look back. I've done it before and id do it again. I'm not going to drink 300+ calories of something I'm not happy with.

Convivial might last longer than Florence this time. Otherwise, I think Shaun mentioned Anna being ready around the same time as Convivial on Twitter. October should be a huge month, with Dorothy, Clara, and Art!

pfft, I'm hoping for another new bottle this week! ;)

(haha, not complaining with the options of Aaron and Convivial + growlers of Susan and Earl)
You gonna be around this weekend? I may try to sneak into Waterbury late (like midnight-ish) and then head to HF early Saturday.
