glad I can finally earn rewards points for HF purchases too.

definitely making some awesome strides forward on the customer experience front.

I'll know tonight. Loved the last batch though.

please let us know, kind of want to wait until it is cooler out to open them personally :)

Hey all, I'm more of a lurker than a participant on this site, though I have a long history on BA under the handle of t8000shx... Which I mention as a preamble to asking if anyone would be interested in doing me a huge favor/making a goods-for-services trade.

So I have FOFA tickets, but unfortunately my DD arrangement fell through. My wife and I are currently booked for a camp site at Belview Campgrounds in Barton - any chance someone is staying nearby with a DD with 2 extra spots in the car, and would be interested in a (VERY generous) Gas Money+Beer-for-ride arrangement? And if your plan is to hit the Parker Pie after party, pizzas would be on me :).

I'm more than happy to give up some great beers for the driver and other attendees and provide generous gas money compensation.

Ben is a great guy. Please help him out if you can. Thx.

So just finished BA Everett...sorry late result as I spent all night @ Parker Pie (What is enlightenment, Everett, Abener, Walden, Everett and Legitimacy on tap + a bottle of 2014 Iris)

Anyway, I had the bottle of March-ish BA Everett 3 days after purchasing it and though it was good but quite sweet. Lots of chocolate and oak presence or so I thought. I think the latest batch is a bit more refined, smoother, nothing is too in your face, maybe more chocolate but certainly no flavor is overbearing.

The only thing I can really say (HFS related) is remember that HUGE contrast between last year's Bourbon Genealogy of Morals when there was a July batch and then like an October release of the same beer that spent longer in oak? It was a HUGE difference between that beer having spent longer in oak. I'd personally say that this is not a radically different experience from the March batch but I definitely prefer this batch to its predecessor. More refined, more oak, less sweetness. It's very good.

Also I like that 4-8 more months in oak is no price increase and it's 3 per person instead of 1. win-win.

One moron's opinion though so obviously don't take my word for it.

infected? no
meh? yes (the bottles we opened had no hint of spice/heat/etc)
Had upwards of 7ish bottles over the course of 3 months after it was released, not one of which was infected.

I might be the only person here who really liked that beer. So much barrel, cinnamon, cake batter, and woahh they didn't overdo the spice (unlike many more popular chili stouts), imagine that.

Looking to get a bottle of Everett - it is my wife's favorite beer hands-down and she will not be able to drink for the next 9 months, so I wanted to score a BA Everett for when she can have her "next" beer. Let me know if anyone can help out. I have some wicked weed sours, almanac reserve, focal, crusher, peleg. Thanks!

Just had an MC4. Sour. Not by any means a bad sour stout. Nice bit of heat from the spices on the finish and still good hints of the bourbon.

CD7 listed on the retail page for release on weds. Wonder how many bottles of that they have left to re-release?

Anyone open the new BA Everett and have it be very overcarbed? People might want to watch how/where you store it.
Thanks for the head's up. Same thing happened with Peleg - things just vomited out of the bottle as soon as we popped the cap.

I'm jonesing for some James. Anyone know how frequently Shaun makes it?
He made it once last year. Any word on the return of Foster? I remember it being the 2nd HF beer I've ever tried when it was on tap at Double Windsor in Brooklyn several years ago. Hasn't been brewed since.

Anyone from the Portland, ME or Bangor, ME area heading to HF anytime soon? I really love Arthur, and was hoping someone would be making a trip up there before August 14th and might be willing to gopickitupformebro.

I'll be in town from the 14th to 19th (based in Bangor), so I can ship it home to myself. I would be happy to bring a couple FL goodies to share as a thank you.

Updated Description:

  • Civil Disobedience #7: Re-release of this beer. Blended with 2 year old Cantillon lambic. Bottled in July of 2013. We have been sitting on several hundred bottles - waiting for the lambic to take over... 20$ 375ml. Limit 1 bottle per person. Drink Now!

Considering the crowded bottle list, that beer must be right where they want it. They would've saved it for a slower week otherwise.
