Don't worry, he makes like 10 better IPAs than Ephraim. Also, he brewed it last fall too, I think...maybe just a six month wait!

Yeah, just wanna tick it, really. Have had Abner, Double Citra, Double Galaxy, S&S 4, S&S 5, S&S 6, Susan, all incredible, and Harlan (which sucks and is far and away my least favorite HF hoppy beer), so not exactly missing out on the HF IPAs, but Ephraim is ++ malt on all of those, yeah?

Just get yourself some more Double Sunshine. IMO they have similar qualities but I definitely find myself preferring DS.

Similar? Really? Kind of the opposite I've been told from people in the past. Ephraim is a "triple" IPA, no? I find Double Sunshine with almost no noticeable malt and just straight Citra to the face (which is awesome), and I thought Ephraim was same hop bill as Abner...

If you want to swing by after work today or tomorrow I can open a growler of it (from last Saturday).

Or I'll open it anyways :D

Tempting.................. Can't do tomorrow, don't THINK I can do tonight but lemme see... I have a growler of Coriolis from Saturday to drink.

Every IPA you listed before Harlan is BY FAR better than Ephraim, in my humble opinion.

I feel like Everett sold out really quickly, does anyone remember what day it hit the shop this time?

Yeah, and it looks like they just put Harlan on draft IIRC, maybe if something kicks before Fri, they'll put Everett on.

Dammit. Every ******* time I go up Harlan is on. I really don't like that beer :( Guess I will just have to be satisfied with the five other world class beers on draft.

Why all the hate on Harlan??? I think it is great. Sure I prefer Susan as far as "single" IPAs go, but I'd never turn down a Harlan, poor guy!

I'll echo some of the other feelings that while Ephraim is very good, I prefer many of the other DIPAs (S&S 3,4,5,6,7, Double Galaxy, Abner).

I totally disagree with everyone, lol. Ephraim is by far my favorite beer of theirs. Just my two cents. Stuff was amazing last year at the anniversary fest.

My babies are safe(one for me and one for my bro).

Yeah, a few weeks ago I had a growler of Ephraim with a Double Sunshine the next day. They are both aggressive, hop-forward monsters. DS isn't just only Citra, there's a plethora of other hop varieties used in it, similar in its variety to Ephraim and Abner. Not saying the hop varietals are the same, but I don't think they're significantly different (too lazy to look it up right now). I'm not saying it's the same palate or even the same "level" of IPA, but I feel that they are quite a bit more similar than they are different. But that's just like, my opinion, man.

Magnum of Arthur = holy ****. Need one so bad. That's my favorite beer.

As for Ephraim, I thought it was like a really hoppy American barleywine. It was good but I wouldn't even put it in the same genre as other HF IPAs.

Seriously, Arthur magnums?!?!!!!
