lol those are average Chicago prices I'd be all over that if I was up there...
It's one thing to buy up the HF bottles, but **** if I'll stand for all the loonz being consumed out from under us.
I was surprised by the high prices as well. I recall the prices at last years tap takeover being far more reasonable ($7-8 for most 12oz pours). I stuck with 1/2 pours and got to taste everything I wanted and didn't hurt the wallet much. Granted they were all beers I've had before, but it was treat to have them all in one sitting.
I had a $19 lamb burger and a bottle of E., Madness, Anna, Limoncello, Vera Mae, etc. and I was more offended by the single 4-pack prices of Heady around Waterbury and the 'Noosk.yea, if I hadn't had everything 10x over, I'd have gone for sure.
Not sure what is up with the prices this year, all were much higher than usual, but they also have burgers that are creeping towards $20 so nothing surprises me much there.
Good to hear. Still debating whether to get up there for open tomorrow, or chance it and go a bit later at like 3 or 3:30. Did you happen to notice if those were the cases that hold 12 bottles? Or the smaller 6-bottle cases?Plenty of E. Looked like 30-40 cases left easy
Great, go up tomorrow and get some for me and Six.Plenty of E. Looked like 30-40 cases left easy

Wow. Really hope that's a rush of people skipping HF tomorrow for Lawson's/Alchemist! Perfect storm of beer dumbassness this weekend, can't wait to see it unfold. Looking forward to a trip to HF and then working our way south to either Three Penny or Worthy Burger tomorrow. Good times.Ya today was nuts. Showed up at 11 and there were easily 75 people ahead of me.
Looks like E. will sellout tomorrow per HF twitter.

yeah, I mean, you could practically walk to N. VT from Hanover, NHI'm not buying any beer in VT this week.
-Wednesday HFS Event brought all of the nerds up
-Ephraim, Society 5 & Citra on at the same time
-E. available
-BG&E available
-Lawson's 6th anniversary party + farmers market + special fayston keg being tapped
-Alchemist pop-up sale of Holy Cow and Focal Banger + cases of Heady
It is quite possibly the worst week for locals to buy beer.

Where and when were you Sat? Would have been fun to meet some Cali people, especially during the long waitsEnjoyed my time in Vermont this weekend. It certainly was entertaining to listen to everyone talk about trade value and most talking about how to maximize returns. It was refreshing at least to hear some were taking care of regulars.

6th at the Alchemist? We were 240-something at the Alchemist one as we were coming from the Lawson's breakfast :/About 6th in line. Got there around 11, and was on the road to Corning NY by 12:15. I didn't really socialize as I was pretty hung over. You couldn't miss me as I am the biggest guy most places, although I blend in more at beer events than most places. I was wearing an Alpine hat and far less clothes than I should have been for the hour wait in 30 degree weather.
How long was your wait?6th at the Alchemist? We were 240-something at the Alchemist one as we were coming from the Lawson's breakfast :/
Surprisingly not too long, about an hour from getting into line and walking away. Expected that though as we hung around the Lawson's breakfast for a bit too longHow long was your wait?
