I was there around 11:20 and was about 20th in line. Probably double that when they opened. They were definitely selling E. and BG&E in the bottle only line when I left at 1:30. Roads were fine, but I took Shadow Lake>T-8>Hill.

Damn I asked Phil when I got there about the bottle line and he said probably no BG and E or wheat is the new hops. That would have saved me like an hour and a half!

Yeah, I debated as well but really wanted Ephraim this time. They weren't just taking bottle line one after the other, they were alternating growler and bottle only line back and forth. Even so it was probably a 20 minute wait vs. 2 1/2 hour by the time I left.

Someone who's up there today...get a feel for the E. stock. I'm planning on getting up there later in the afternoon tomorrow. Recent releases have lasted (at least) into the second week, but I've heard rumors that E. is selling VERY quickly. The Alchemist/Lawson's release won't exactly help.

Someone ask Phil today if there's any reason to worry about E. lasting through the day tomorrow!!

I wish! That taplist was insane, I had eyes on the 2012 Anna and Vera Mae especially. Unfortunately, it was a Wednesday night. Bastards. I can imagine the MC1 draft was incredible though, I've found their stouts/porters to be even better on draft. Draft Birth of Tragedy at last year's Anniversary Fest is still one of the better beers I've ever had.

Hopefully that taplist was a preview of the kind of taplists around Waterbury over Memorial Day...

saw $10/10oz pours for certain things, laughed and decided not to walk over to FHTG and spend $100 on 4 beers, 2 burgers and tip.

Yo bill it looks like box stack is half gone but people were buyin it like mad. Growler line today was worse than I've ever seen since the summer. If u miss out on it tho I got u. Also the ******* New Yorkers drank all the cantillon :'(

I was surprised by the high prices as well. I recall the prices at last years tap takeover being far more reasonable ($7-8 for most 12oz pours). I stuck with 1/2 pours and got to taste everything I wanted and didn't hurt the wallet much. Granted they were all beers I've had before, but it was treat to have them all in one sitting.

It's one thing to buy up the HF bottles, but **** if I'll stand for all the loonz being consumed out from under us.
