It's a new batch. Shaun was talking about it at Zwanze day.

New batch of... what? Convivial Suarez? Or is this a new beer? If not, why is it renamed and 2 dollars more than a "normal" HF/Grassroots saison?
Same beer, and the other brewer left, so changed the Suarez part.

Phil said it's the previous batch of Convivial. They had about 100 bottles left so threw them on the shelf. Label still says Suarez. It was a pleasant surprise to see it.

New batch is in bottles, but conditioning slowly. They're guessing it's about 2 months out still.

Ok, so this is batch 1, and batch 2 is ok, but still conditioning? Cool. Thanks guys!!!

Anyone know the barrel used and the ABV for the new batch of BoT ? I tried to check in a couple places, but did not have any luck.

Port Damon - Dec 11. Along with the new retail space. They say they have enough to last until the weekend.

Watching the brewery transform over the last few months has been a really great experience. While I don't have to work at the brewery day to day, over the past 3 years I've seen the tiny fermentation area fill up with tanks, the lines for retail get longer and watching that tiny bottling line be pushed to the absolute limit all while the operational team (Shaun, Bob, formerly Dan) completed their entire jobs in a room full of customers, it's really nice that everyone will have space to brew, ferment, bottle and blend these really great beers away from the hundreds of people and those many hundreds of visitors will now be able to get their beer more efficiently in a much larger space.

Hill Farmstead's expansion doesn't mean many more gallons of beer but it's basically Phase 3 of this very tiny idea that Shaun set out to do over a decade ago. From a small shed, to a small barn and now to a real custom-built brewing operation, I'm very excited and proud of that team. I think it's been stated publicly that the BBL isn't going way up but operationally, things will be way more efficient for everyone.

I hope in phase II, we can just drop off our growlers, order a bottle of Being & Time from the tasting room paired with some Cabot Clothbound overlooking the VT mountains and not have to stand in as many lines. I hope that's the reality a year from now. For now, Phase I is a huge relief for everyone there.

congrats team!

Edit: two other things I thought would be nice to mention as I'm feeling all nostalgic right now. Over the past 2 weeks, I've seen some people at the hill buying beer who were there volunteering and helping out from the first day Shaun opened his doors. Some live in Boston now and still make a monthly trek up to buy beer and are standing in line with the rest of us. I think it's ultra cool that we all see the lines, the tags from out of state and the people that drove all of this way for beer and we all sort of have that same look like, "we knew this would happen" this little tiny place we came to back when Civil Dis 1 & 2 were released is now undergoing this huge construction and changing right in front of our eyes.

The second thing is Shaun always mentioned the intention of being a community european style family brewery. At first, you didn't see a lot of shaun's family but now not a day goes by that shaun's mom, brother and dad are there working, moving kegs around, filling growlers and overseeing the construction. It really is a locally driven brewery that's family run and still struggling to serve Vermont's very thirsty population. I'm interested to see how the crowds develop over time. If this really is the last HFS expansion, maybe 2-3 hour wait will become a thing again? What then?

Only time will tell.

I really hope Shaun invested in some cash registers so his employees don't have to use pen and paper every time they have to add up an order. Investing under a thousand dollars in some registers would make things way more efficient.

Having said that, I'm very excited to come back for the Anniversary party and see how the expansion looks.

Cash registers would, by nature, record transactions more closely. Just saying.

Does anyone know what glass wear they have for sale currently? I've always wanted a pair of their stemware. Those glasses are so nice.

If anyone is heading up there and is interested in a trade or a pick it up for me bro please let me know. I've got a few Cantillon glasses (balloon, and tastier) or could send beer or $.

I was there on Friday and they currently have the black logo oversized wine glasses.

I have two w/ a white logo I could trade. I would love a couple of Cantillon glasses.

BM me if you're interested.

i'm still on the look out for one of the original glasses that looks hand-painted with a very large HFS logo.

The globe glasses are belgian made and the rest are Libby glassware (like the festival wine glass which is not pictured)

Always looking for glasses to complete the collection.
