First time I’ve ever had a Hill saison gush, so I thought I’d do a review. Very Brett forward and a good amount of lactic acid. Strong aromas of yogurt, oregano, and starfruit. Oxidation is sitting in, but it adds to the fruity complexity...the bitterness on the finish is what ties it all together.

Just finished a Feb 2017 Anna. The best bottle I’ve had in awhile. So good.

Drive up yesterday was a whole bunch of yuck through NH and southern VT, had to keep it 40-50 for a couple long stretches. Had the good fortune of rolling by Willeys and up state road 8 or w/e just as the plow was coming down from hf. Don’t think there’s any chance I would have made it up Taylor or Cemetery so thank goodness for the one relatively flat route in.

Wound up getting in right at open to a big line at retail and a completely empty taproom. With an entire pallet of Flora blueb right on the floor opting to start with the 0 minute wait for growlers and a beer was the easy choice. Pretty fast retail line as well, saw a good handful of just BG&E boxes so things moved quick.

Ended up going to Lawson’s and home 89 after, wayyy smoother sailing second half of the day other than 16 and Waitsfield roads. Can’t say enough good things about that spot, super impressed.
