Kerrie told my buddy that there were 60 people in line before opening yesterday...

The problem is lugging all that beer back to Brooklyn haha

Just do what I did when I went to PDX:

Ask johnnyramirez or CharlieMurphy. It was crucial!

I like how Harlan is the red-headed stepchild of HF's IPA lineup whereas for most breweries in the country that would be their best/flagship beer.
It really is and I don't know why. It feels offset from most hoppy stuff by HF - more old-school west coast. But for a long time, the IPA style itself was the red headed step child at HF. Harlan was the only one they made until Susan came out and then Legitimacy. I think the only other IPA was that blood orange collab with their friend from dieu de ciel, maybe some other one-off, and James is technically an IPA. Mean while there's an extensive APA and DIPA series.

Got lucky yesterday strolled in at 330 to find two mags of soigne on the shelf! Me and my buddy grabbed them. This after me saying on the ride up I will never have a magnum of hf... some times you just gotta get lucky I guess!

I'll get back to you on that tonight after work. Bottle is going straight in the fridge

Thoughts on Blueberry Flora:

The color is unreal. The fruit actually comes across as blueberry, which is pretty impressive. Yeast and oak are present but take a backseat to the fruit. Really easy drinking. It's far from sweet, but it's definitely not super dry either. Great beer, which I'd love to drink again, but I still prefer Flora.

Good to know. I was a huge fan of Satsuma - we drank one side by side with Flora B5 and the way it changed/enhanced the base beer was unreal. Can only imagine what the Cherry Flora is like

Not going to open Blueberry for a while but I find it hard to believe a HFS beer tasting better than Flora but I have really high expectations for Art whenever that comes out. Among the saisons, Flora wins out every time.

Hoping blueberry is still on when I go up today w/ natejohnson I'll probably still go back next week just for Double Citra assuming nothing else goes up. Also, ISO 1.5 liter bottles of any of the saisons. Sucks I've missed those.

The fact that I've been there so much in the last 2 months is a bit depressing yet, it's even more surprising that I haven't seen a large format bottle every time I go up.

Thanks Frank for the tasting notes. Yesterday, I uploaded label artwork for Blueberry Flora & Sarrasin. Still waiting on reviews with notes just so I can see what others are saying.

BTW, this was Frank last night

FWIW I felt the same way about Satsuma that I do about Blueberry. A nice twist, but overall a different beer.

Alright fellas, thoughts on Blueberry Flora 1:1 for Flora B5? Seems fair to me, but maybe I'm off on the demand for B5

I'm thinking if you're the one trading Blueberry and looking for B5, it would get done pretty quickly, given the current ISOs for Blueberry. If you're trying to trade the B5, while I technically think its fair, it would take longer to get done.

Two things I hope:

I hope this is true
I hope Blueberry Flora lasts until next week

What about a kbbs? I would think the + would be on the BB flora side, no?

I have 1 bottle of blueberry, but was lucky enough to share a bottle with a buddy, so since I've yet to try Flora B5, I'm tempted to offer it up.

But, I'm sure B6 will come out within a couple months, so maybe I'll just drink the blueberry
