I honestly don't understand the love affair with paying a premium for barrel aged syrup or honey.

You drunks not realize you can stir in bourbon into anything?!

Have you had BA maple syrup

this pretty much sums up Florida stouts... just stir **** into ****

Like I said, I don't get the love affair with BA Syrup...I'm no FL brewer.

Should I have prefaced my comment with how much I love HF and can't wait to visit again?! lol My visit lined up with them opening the tasting room 1 week after my visit. :(

*You are 100% right about FL stouts, thought this was well-known?

I've got a bottle of Melovino mead that has maple syrup added, and was then further aged in barrels in which maple syrup was previously aged. So maple barrel aged maple syrup honey wine.

I'm guessing it's gonna be a little sweet.

I recall having to down most of that concoction when some of you guys didn't take much :/
I'm sure they were paying you back for them days when you would take a sip of the sours! Prior to your conversion to the sour side....

I was really impressed by the most recent E. fresh, but similarly impressed with how the last Sue improved with age... sounds like I shouldn't wait to try it

I didn't have the previous batch fresh but the new batch of Sue was pretty damn hoppy. Got a lot of orange marmalade with a nice bitterness. I enjoyed the aggressive hop presence a lot more than the smoother subdued version.

Anyone had the recent Sue?

Anyone can copypasta...the man was asking how it drank

Trying to be as accurate as I can at answering the question. No mention of inquirng how it tasted. I dropped out of high school. Grammar police will lock me up. I can’t get into the argument of how I phrase my responses like in prior pages of this thread.

Beer is drinking gracefully ? The beer is drinking itself? Referring to itself in the first or third person? i can barely english on a good day

Drinking a Feb 2017 Anna. After working out some carbonation, it's just fantastic. More easy drinking than tart. Just lots of lime, melon and a hint of meringue.

Had CD15 tonight and out of the few times (4-5?) that I've had it it was by FAR the most mango heavy bottle I've tried. Wow that was impressive. Mango was actually pretty sublte in the fresher ones but this had an outrageous amount

I brought one Clara out to the west coast with me from the FOFA trip, then open it while jetlagged and only managed a half glass. Completely flat the next morning. FML...

...then made a risotto with it the next day, with some wild garlic and lemon thyme. Sensational. I want more uncarbonated farmhouse beers to cook with (without having to degas my own)
