I'd wager it's a bit larger now, but I'd still guess it's somewhere in the 500 person range based on when I attended last year. Might be way off on that number though since I didn't try to actively count.

That makes sense. Of the 300 people there back then many ended up camping/sharing bottles that night in Shaun's yard.

i'm sure all the above plus a little R&D is going on with the cans... Ask yourself.. if you ran a brewery... wouldn't you want to do some R&D on a new format to make sure your in control of things to the best of your ability?

maybe some breweries don't give a **** these days and just want some quick cash... HF is not like that.... and you know this

Good point. Shaun is pretty meticulous about wanting to do things right. Makes sense to can a few runs for in-house consumption to see how they hold up and assess from there.

Still.........

I didn't think there was 500 last year, I'd say 300-350 would be a good guess IMO.

My unfounded theory is that they are canning some of their regular beers under different names to see how they do in cans and avoid people saying things like "canned what is enlightenment is worse than on draft, or canned Susan is way better than draft" etc. But by my own admission I can't think of any of their pre-existing offerings that match the descriptions of the two they canned so far. So I could be wayyyy off.

You're wayyyy off.

I don't think you were being flamed to death just because you questioned the onsite cans.
Oh right, my reputation. Still my only point was that on site cans were pointless and I got flamed. Me being hated here is the reason for that and was my entire point of that comment.

Maybe the reason you got flamed is because you said they were pointless, which is pretty different than saying "I don't get it," especially notable by the fact that a lot of people have responded to me pointing out smart reasons why they're not, in fact, pointless.

Eh, I meant the exact same thing, "I don't get it" = "They are pointless" just said in a different way.
