I'll have to dig around in Bea Arthur's box and see if I have one of these.

Figured I would save you all the hassle of typing up the rest of this same old repetitive message. Feel free to cut and paste the following when you guys get all worked up:

__ / __ batch of __________ is drinking __________ right now.

But seriously, when is the last time you opened a properly cellared shelf farmstead© bottle and thought man this sucks, I should have drank this when it was fresher. I'm trying to recall the last "drink it now" warning that was tossed out for these bottles. Maybe they are all drinking amazing right now because they were amazing from the start? Maybe?

Also super serious, I get worked up too over these year+ cellared bottles that I bought for $10 but if I was to come on here and gush every time you would all hate me more than you already do.

But in what order do you rank the last five batches of Anna, and more importantly, how are each of them drinking?

I have the two latest batches. If you send me the previous three batches not only will I rank them but I will include pictures and tasting notes as well as telling you how they are drinking. Really whatever you want. Super serious.

I actually had a ****** tasting bottle of Arthur not to long ago. 5/14 or 10/14, I can't remember. Tasted lightly oxidized and didn't have very expressive brett character.

Current GUEST BOTTLES available at the shop:

  • Casita Cerveceria Sopressa - Tart and hoppy ale. 500ml $9
That feeling when you have a trip planned to VT and new bottles go up on the site that week.

ISO!

Best bottles I've had of recent were 10/2015 Arthur and Florence. Both were perfect, to me, at 3 months in the bottle. I think there is much less change with age since around the time they added the foeders.

I've been there once, but they've never had any HF or Grassroots bottles for sale the one time I was there

Not that I'm still bitter or anything ;)

rarely, but...

M&C 4
Juicy*
Mimosa*

*the former two were still delicious, but personally enjoyed them both way more when 'fresher'.

I had a dream that Mimosa and Juicy were shelf bottles. Woke up to a nightmare instead where Juicy kicked the first week after Xmas break when I had no rhyme or reason to take a day off and make the trip up.

Literally the worst HF nightmare ever came true for me (and many others I assume).

If anyone going up this week can grab me some Earl bottles for cash+label I will happily return the favor next time I head up.
