You've sleeves to your wrists? Thought I heard Kerry say "bye oz" and after the fact struck me it was you.

I hope i can get work off for this or at least get off early enough to make it there before 5...... I am going to take a guess at the guest bottle being framboos.....just because it has hit distro across the US and hommage was on the shelves around the same time last year.......

Does anyone know if their new tasting/shop room is open now or are they still selling growlers/bottles in the older location?

I've seen nothing announced saying that the new are is open... definitely wasn't open 10 days ago

Okay, I remember seeing a photo of Shaun celebrating the new maple deck so I wasn't sure if it was or not. Maybe this week for their anniversary? That would be cool.

it would be cool and perhaps help w/ the extra space... or it could be bad to start something new on a busy weekend...

who knows, but they are certainly getting close I think

Spoke with Kerry about this last week, she said getting closer but didn't mention next weekend or any specific date, so I doubt next weekend will be it. But who knows.

This is some nerdy **** right here(I feel like Respirologist here, no offense, you just seem dialed into the details), but anyone notice a change in the verbiage of the labeling?

None taken. I try to be !

Yes I've noticed. Anna is Vermont Honey Ale, i forget what it was before Honey Saison ? Hibiscus not on the Brother label but is in the description. Arthur is now a " Traditional " instead of " Rustic " Farmhouse Saison

Question is should we care about these changes? I think it's a good thing to differentiate better between bottles

I agree, think they are just refining things. I recall a bit back shawnee was talking about his dislike for words like rustic as descriptors so I'm not surprised they followed through and revised the labeling.

I don't think hibiscus has ever actually been on the front of Brother.

With regard to using "ale" versus "saison," it could be an issue with label approval. The word "saison" may not be clear enough for the fed/state level to declare that it is beer.

Just thinking out loud.

I'm betting it has more to do with Shaun's ruminations/navel-gazing about what to call this style of beer from that interview around the Shelton Festival. I remember he expressed angst about both rustic and saison.

Nah Shaun is just that up his own b-hole about words like 'rustic' and 'saison' not meaning anything ...while collaborating with the likes of SARA, Fantome, and others who break his verbage rules. I don't care as long as his beer is good, but it would be interesting to talk with him about that crap and just be like, 'I like your beer but **** off'

I think at least two batches of Arthur have dropped the 'rustic'. Not sure his basis for Arthur being traditional, but also idgaf

I've always found it odd that there are HF beers labeled as farmhouse and as farmstead. With Hill's seemingly strict perspective on semantics, I'm assuming there's a reason for the distinction. I'd like to know what it is, purely out of curiosity.
