3rd anny was supposed to have 3 bottles released: Damon, Elab1 and Prolegomena but he couldn't get the truck to the offsite storage due to the weather. those 3 bottles trickled out 1 release at a time over the next couple of weeks...
I ended up with a bottle of Damon via trade in my hands by early-mid July.
All right with this except I think it was Madness 1 and not Damon that was supposed to be released the day after the Snowmaggen Anniversary Party. Did you Damon have black wax? If so, that was B1.

Still one of my favourite threads on BA.

Florence. I just can't post and drink at the same time. I did get a very excited PM though asking if I would trade 3 Flora for a KBBS though!

True. Still hard to ignore the great utility disparity.

If I've ever had more than 6 of just about anything, I've never missed the bottles I've traded/BIF'd away. As long as the KBBS end was making up the $/oz deficit with good locals, I'd have no issue sending off 3 Floras. Spoken as someone with 0 Flora, for whatever that's worth.

For sure. I wouldn't say I wouldn't make that very trade, I'd just be frustrated that that's what it would have taken.

Spoken as someone with several flora's, I would not trade 3 of them away for KBBS.

Let's wait to see the final result here but it's my understanding, Shaun brews every single batch of beer (even after expansion). Anyone being lauded as a co-brewer isn't. There are guys helping with barrels, packaging, yeast management but no one @ Hill Farmstead is co-brewer. There have been now 3 'co-brewers' in Greensboro that, to my knowledge never brewed a single beer start to finish (Dave, Dan and Matt). Talented guys that brew really great beer but not HFS Co-brewers.

I may be wrong and maybe shaun had a change of heart.

Also, does this mean Matt is departing or is this an increase to the roster? Either way, it's still exciting news.

the article says he's going to be the Brewery Production Manager

this... didn't hear about Tarpey leaving... but with the new brewhouse being installed, I imagine Shaun will need a bigger team even if he continues to brew every batch himself...

Because you get wrong feelings? I certainly wouldn't say that.

perhaps you would not say that... but I'll stick with my gut feeling that someone will find a way to criticize that.. or anything for that matter...

That is most likely true but it does seem petty OCD to brew every single batch and I wouldn't be surprised if it was partially done to feed his ego from the praise he gets.
