Damn. Any word on what kind of beer Elaborative #2 is? I loved #1.

Elab2 is wine barrel aged Autumn Saison. Autumn Saison is a tart pumpkin/squash saison that has made some random appearances here and there.

Edit - I highly encourage trying to pick it up before Thanksgiving. Got to try it this weekend and it would make a phenomenal table beer for the meal. Just the right flavors and body to go with a big fall meal. The 750mL format certainly adds to that.

Elaborative Two was brewed September 2012 with our friends Brad Clark and Ryan Burke. We crafted this farmstead ale with pumpkins grown by Ben’s Pumpkins. The beer was aged in a variety of wine barrels — as well as a barrel from Virtue Cider in Michigan — with wild yeast and bacteria. After a year, the unique threads were blended together and conditioned in the bottle.

I saw the label in person at the shop on Saturday. Looks gorgeous

Damn. That sounds amazing. ISO.

Also obligatory Hill Farmstead pumpkin beer??????? post.

God that label is sexy. Question though, is the Autumn Saison that's been on tap at Parker Pie a couple times (I tried it on Zwanze Day) this same beer? Or is Elab 2 the barrel aged version of that? Regardless, that Autumn Saison on tap in PHENOMENAL. I'm sure this beer will be worth chasing down.

I'll be curious to hear bottle limits on this. I went up this past Saturday to get Arthur and Brother Soigne, sucks I can't make it up the next two weekends. Here's hoping that somehow Elab 2 sticks around for a while...

I would assume Shaun would have been very clear on it being a BA Autumn Saison. Besides, the used Virtue Barrel certainly would make this a totally different beer.

No limit on Elab 2 is and Everett and Arthur are 6 per.

Going down to Tired Hands and Kane this weekend. Anyone going up to HF want to swap TH growlers/Kane bottles/growlers for an Elab 2, some Soigne and/or some Everett?

Brewing Earl - our Coffee Stout. Will bottle 50% of this batch. Ready in bottle by mid December.

I feel like from now until NYE we are going to get bombarded with bottle releases. Good lord... BOT, PBDamon, Earl, Elab2, Everett, Arctic Soiree and who knows what else?!?

First trip to HF was suitably epic, ridiculously fun, and incredibly fast to boot! We showed up about 10 minutes before opening, were at the front of the line (2 people ahead of our group), and got through the growler line twice in a little over an hour. I blew through most of the $500 in cash I had brought (albeit lending a bit out) between 14 bottles, 6 growlers, and a dozen glasses for myself and friends back home. Then an awesome day in Montpelier and Waterbury. What a special trip, I can't wait to do it again!

Like I told you, I've NEVER been able to get through the line twice by 1pm on a Friday (or even a Wednesday or a Thursday for that matter). And we hit a very nice tap selection around town. The beer gods were with us.

Also thanks to Darren for taking the time to stop, say hi and snap this photo for us. I can only imagine he has random people coming up to him all the time, but he was super cool about it.

Definitely, that was very nice of him! All the tasting room staff were great too.

Arthur was still available today to go along with everything else previously advertised...I can't believe they are pouring concrete when it's this cold out.

The prolegomena was$20. It looked like there was 15 bottles when they opened, not sure if they replenished the supply. There was 1 left after i went through the line at 1:30.
