Has anyone experienced a higher gravity reading while actively boiling? I checked my gravity 60min into a 90min boil; it was at 1.051 so I cut my boil short. When the wort was cooled and transferring i measured a 1.047 reading?
Please note..my refractometer is calibrated and reads accurately.
my wife asked if there could be a leak in my chiller? possible, but it’s SS so should be pretty hard to crack.
