has anyone brewed any of the High Gravity kits? looking at their dead guy clone.

I haven't tried their Dead Guy clone, but I've brewed their Belgian Amber Ale (Fat Tire clone) and their Glacier Pale Ale, both were tasty and came with clear-cut directions. The directions/ingredient lists are available as a download at the links above.

They have a nice selection of grains, extracts and equipment in inventory and they seem to have a steady stream of business so their ingredients should all be fresh. You can place an online order and have it shipped for $10 or select in-store pickup and they'll have it waiting for you when you come in.
