High FG!!

Hi all.
I brewed a simple pale ale last Saturday and due to having small children I lost concentration and mashed my grain way too high! I was aiming for 67*C and hit more like 71*C. I'm aware that this is not good. I checked my FG an it was at 1.020 from 1.038. My desired target is 1.008. Is their anything I can do to get it down or is this a dumper?

Give it some time. You are only one week in. You may not get it down to 1.008, but it should get lower.

You might try some amylase as a last resort.
