Hey guys, so I just got done brewing my first "big"beer. OG 1.085 final 1.013 I'm pretty sure that's right (been a few weeks since bottling). I let her sit in the primary for 2 weeks, secondary for a month at 70 degrees F...used 3/4 cup sugar for priming blah blah...anyway my question to those who have brewed high alcohol beers (or know more about them than I) is carbonation time? I'm thinking around a month? My worries are having let the beer set too long in the secondary...? Any insight would be awesome! P.s. I bottled in 22s as well

The time it takes will depend on what yeast strain you used. Your at about 9.6% ABV and 83% apparent attenuation so it will take time. I would guess you should be pretty safe at one month but again depending on the tolerance of the yeast strain, it may take longer. I usually start cracking them around 3 weeks after bottling. If they're not carbonated I crack one a week to check on them. Its good to note those tastings and carb levels with the recipe each time you crack one so you know for the next time how long it took and how it was tasting at each time point.

Unless it is a style that needs to be drank young such as an ipa I would let the bottles sit for a couple months. As a general rule you should always let the bottles sit for 4 weeks at around 70 degrees.
