Just thought its polite to say hi, so "Hi!".
I have been brewing wine for several years, started off with the kits, and still use them, but make fruit wine at times. I would make more fruit wine, but its SO hard leaving it to mature!
I am currently setting up a business to do with self sufficiency, encouraging more people within the cities to take up some form of self sufficiency, homebrewing, jam making, preserving etc. Its only starting up at the moment, so I work full time too.
I'm married with 3 kids, 2 girls (13 and 5) and a boy (7 weeks).
Good to see brewing is still going strong, it appears to be making a bit of a come back too, but that could just seem like it because I'm talking about it a lot more!

Welcome, lots of people making lots of thing on this forum that do not involve alcohol, take a look around and you will see a lot of diversity.

Hi to you!

Welcome :mug:

I make beer, wine, bread, pickles, vinegar, and kombucha. I'm going to try my hand at sauerkraut for the first time tomorrow and can't wait! I also haven't hired anyone to do home improvements or repairs in at least 10 years. If it breaks, I fix it. This has included:

paint
hanging doors
fixing air conditioner
fixing washing machine (this sucked!)
fixing dryer
fixing freezer
fixing heater
fixing dishwasher
fixing microwave
replacing water heater
replacing tile floor
replacing wood floor
replacing shower
replacing wall
fixing water leaks inside wall
building furniture
concrete and masonry
plumbing
roof repairs
etc.

As you can tell, old houses suck!

I'm sure there are plenty other repairs to add to the list. I swear it is always something. If I go a week without having to fix something it makes me nervous. I do think it's fun learning how to do new things though and it saves me so much money doing the repairs myself that I feel justified in spending so much on beer :D
