Hi everyone! I have been thinking of trying my hand at brewing/winemaking and finally got some equipment this week so I could try my first project. Have a small batch of very simple blackberry wine going and my yeast are going nuts in there.

I'm planning on starting with fruit wines and meads before eventually trying beer after some more experience.

Howdy and welcome from a Texas member. I'm new too and have my first batch of beer in the fermentation chamber as we speak. I am a beekeeper and want to tackle mead next. One of the helpful people here gave me 2 good recipes for mead, 1 easy, 1 quick. I haven't tried em yet but here they are.

This is an easy one that they said makes tasty mead

They said this 2nd one was quick (done in a month).

If you look over in the mead forum there is lots of helpful information. I've been studying and poking around over there trying to learn more.

Appreciate those recipes. The one-month one sounds interesting as a way to get a good sense of the taste without waiting a long time.
