Hey Everyone, I just purchased the "Ultimate Beer Brewing Kit" with ingredients from beer-wine.com:

Welcome to Beer-Wine.com

(at the bottom)

I am looking forward to receiving it and getting started. I am brand new to brewing. Just reading "How to Brew" by Palmer now and also have a subscription to "Brew Your Own" (Brew Your Own: The How-To Homebrew Beer Magazine - home page) on its way that I got for Christmas.

Gotta get some cleaning/sanitizing supplies and do some more reading but I am very anxious to get started! :ban:

Hey Chadwell, Welcome to the world of brewing and HBT.
Beer & Wine is where my first kit came from...but it sure isn't as nice as yours! Nice kit.
LOTS of brewers in eastern Ma... and many of them on here.

Welcome from Shirley, MA. I have my very first batch in the primary fermenter right now. I also read How To Brew before getting started, That book, plus this forum, should get you off to a great start. Good luck!

Welcome Chadwell.
I am also new to HBT and homebrewing as well.
I also got a kit from beer-wine.com and a BYO magazine subscription for Christmas. Lucky for us, we have wives that are understanding of our hobbies. I just think my wife likes good beer just as much as I do! LOL.

I am just north of Boston (Revere) and we have a couple local homebrew supply stores nearby. Beer & Wine Hobby (Welcome to Beer-Wine.com) is in Woburn and Modern Homebrew Emporium is in Cambridge.

I have been brewing in Nashua at a BYO type of place for roughly 3 years now. Time to take the next step...

Good luck on your new adventure of homebrewing.

Hello From Acton, MA.

I'm a member of the Boston Wort Processors. We are a pretty big group. Let me know if you'd be interested in checking out one of our meetings....

Thanks Everyone! I-Hop, in response to your post:

That is too funny that we got pretty much the same stuff around the same time like this. Also, I listed "Boston" as more of a region...I am actually in Swampscott, not far from you. Definitely let us know how Modern Homebrew Emporium in Cambridge is!

Welcome from your neighbors to the North. My first supplies were from Beer-wine in Woburn but boy are they hard to find. I primarily go to Jasper's in Nashua now ( great bottled beer selection as well ) or online for those items that are hard to find locally.

Make sure to check out Beeradvocate.com as well for good local information.

Modern Brewer (or Homebrew emporium, or whatever it's called) in Cambridge is a good spot to check out. They are usually well stocked and are, for the most part, knowledgeable. Their prices are inline with everywhere else for the most part (except their kegging equipment!).
