I finally decided to join up. I've been brewing on and off for over 16 years and have turned it up 3-4 notches in the last year or so. I have visions of a microbrewery in my future (like many do for some reason) and am interested in starting a homebrew club in the Muskegon, MI area.

I can honestly say that I have read many many posts on this forum and that there are some very knowledgeable folks here. I intend to learn from others and to share my experiences here at HBT.

Feel free to PM me anytime with questions or thoughts on brewing or a club.

Cheers all!!

Ken

Hey Ken,

I'm just down the road from you in Spring Lake. I don't think I can PM you till I get to 25 posts? This should be my 25th so we will see.

I'm new to the rules, so 25 posts would keep me from PM's too then. It's good to meet ya. I'm always going by SL. My kids live in Grand Haven Twsp and I work in GR, so I drive the triangle a lot.

Hey all! Thanks for the welcomes.

Wrenchman, where about in the UP? I am from the Soo originally. I dream of the day I get back to it for good.

welcome, lake. never lived in mi, but been there very often. rdwhahb, and have fun here. that's what it's all about

I've been to TX often myself for training and such in the DFW area. I have always had fun. Yes....that's what is all about brother.

Brew on.

I'm roughly 20 miles west of Escanaba. I've been downstate enough, but i don't know that i could stay, love the country life too much.

OK Wrenchman, I know the area. I used to have relatives in the area I think. It's still in the UP and an asset as far as I am concerned.) Brew on Brah!

Wish I was UP there myself.

Ken

Good luck Pale. I haven't heard if they're running in the rivers yet but I bet they've started by now with the cooler temps.

Cheers!

Greetings, lakeshorebrewer.

I'm roughly 20 miles west of Escanaba. I've been downstate enough, but i don't know that i could stay, love the country life too much.

And greetings, Wrenchman. 20 miles west of Esky, eh? That'd put me about 30 miles west of you. I'm guessing you're nearby the casino.

You'd be guessing about right! About 5 miles from the casino, but I rarely play...All my money goes to my hobbies instead.

Welcome Wrench from a fellow Michigander. GR for 30 years before the job market forced me out. Fam still lives up there and we do summers near the Red Rooster Tavern in North Musk.

When I was up there for Labor Day I checked out Brewer's Best homebrew in north Holland (Riley, west of 31 if I remember correctly). They seemed to be a good LHBS, so stop by if you havent already.
