Maybe you can make some hooch in the barracks out of some dirty camel piss....or I guess you can smuggle some in some BMC....either way:p

In all seriousness though, take care of yourself over there.

What branch of the military are you in? What is your occupation? If you don't mind my asking.....

Thanks for the support. and im in the army and my occupation is UAV opperator (i fly spy plains....kinda) im taking the opertunity of being here to get as much book smart aboutmaking beer as i can so that way when i get back and get out i can start to make it agine and with any luck i can use my GI bill to go to school to be a brewer. thats the dream anyway. and the idea of cammle piss beer strangly sounds better then Miller and Bud...and sadly ive come to find out the only near beer here is coors...so i geuss thats it then. but dont worry ill keep reading the forums i might not post o( i hardly do anyway) anyway thanks ill let u all know when i get back and brewing agine.

Well, who knows what you will find there, but, one of my employees is from Iran (I know, you're not in Iran, but maybe the situation is similar) and she used to make beer from the near beer. Apparently, the nearbeers there have a lot of fermentable sugar. Throw in some yeast and hops, and it just may be drinkable. Surely you can find a hiding place for some Safale packs and hop pellets.
Good luck, Gods speed, please go end this ****** thing.

To actually answer the original question, St Pauli Girl near beer NA or whatever they call it is not too bad. Decent flavor, rinses out the kidneys with no wear on the liver.

Woot! thanks yeah the St. Paulies girl is great (compaired to beck and coors near beer) and ive already tried to get ahold of yeast and hops. but they are on to me room inspections and such so i think i am in fact done brewing for a little while. oh well ill still read the forums and dream. although i did just get my order on a bunch of homebrewing books so i can still learn as much as i can. and im taking the time to write down what i think will be some good tasting brews. in fact i was just inspired the other day by a peace of pumpkin pie for a nice pumpkin beer that i think will turn out good. we'll see thanks for the support guys!

oh yeah anyone know any good pubs in londen (thats where im going to for mid tour...that...or Belgium...the disney land of beer)
