I have only been brewing my own beer a few months I have decided to go from bottles to barrels, I barrelled my beer 3 weeks ago just went to get myself a pint. after a quarter of the pint was in my glass the beer just stopped flowing, I don't have a lid to inject co2 into the barrel to increase the pressure would it be safe to take the lid off and put a co2 injection lid on without harming the beer if I inject co2 instantly? Please advise

It's a plastic pressure barrel it's got 40 pints/23 litres of beer in it, I don't have co2 lid to inject co2 just a pressure release valve,

No problem with installing the injector lid. Much preferable, and shorter exposure to air, than using the vent.

I haven't used the vent it's the first time I went to get a beer.

Ok will have to wait a few days until I get paid to go get a Co2 lid then I can enjoy cheers🍺
