2 questions:

I am assuming carapilsen malt is the same as carapils? Looks to only be about 5% of the grist.

Also the hops are listed as ounces and %AAU. Does %AAU essentially mean the % alpha acid in the hop? The "%" is throwing me off. I am familiar with AAU's, just not having the % in front of it.

Yes, Carapils is the right stuff. I haven't heard it called Carapilsen but that would mean the same thing.

As far as I know, alpha acid is given on hop packages as a %. Ignore the AAU IMHO. Again, it's all the same thing anyway.
 
I think it's just a typo, they meant %AA. You're right, normally you would either list AAU or oz plus %.
