Howdy,
My portable small fridge just went B.O. on me and wants to freeze everything. When i purchased it a year ago it was all i could find and it only holds one keg...can someone out there suggest a small fridge that will hold two cornelious kegs?

Thanks for any help...I want something good that will hold two kegs inside and that i can put outside taps on.....

Hello...look on craigslist or your local newspaper for a top-freezer refrigerator 14 cubic feet and above. Here is one from Lowes for $349

The benefit in getting a bigger fridge with a freezer: is you can have frosty mugs, you can store your hops in the freezer and you can keep yeast (along with kegs) in the fridge for re-use. I also have a keezer, but prefer the refrigerator!

Not sure how long that fridge of yours will last. A little off topic, but if you think it has a chance, maybe a cheap analog temp controller could turn that small fridge into a ferm chamber.

I see a fridge almost everyday on craigslist for free...usually working too...just needs to be cleaned.

I have picked up two for free...one for my Kegerator one for a fermentation chamber.

I would never buy a new fridge after going through 3 $2000 fridges in the past 2 years. Repair guys says anything new is crap.

Just a thought

here's my kegerator. it's a TIGHT squeeze, and it took some modification, but here it is:

I had to CAREFULLY bend the freezer section down and against the back wall of the fridge. I had to drill a 3 inch hole in the top of the fridge, and mount the tap tower. In the process, i drilled through my thermostat wire, so i had to use an old power chord to run from the compressor, to the thermostat (easy to do). I also had to remove the shelf from the inside of the door and cut away some of the interior wall/insulation behind the right keg in order to push it back a litter farther and get the door to shut all the way.
