Hey guys,
I got my starter kit with Better Bottles. Included in the equipment was a special blow-off rubber stopper with an extra wide hole for tubing. It's a bit smaller in diameter and shorter than a typical airlock stopper so that it locks down in the neck of the bottle.
I hope.
See, it gets REALLY stuck. Design-wise, this makes sense, since you wouldn't want it to be defeated by the very thing it's designed to help with, but now I'm having trouble removing it...
I've gotten it out before with a sanitized screwdriver, but the leverage isn't working this time. Anyone have any tricks for these things??
EDIT:
This is what I'm talking about:

Apart from the users who are trying to make it fit into a regular carboy, the reviews indicate I'm not the only one having this problem.
EDIT part II:
Got it taken care of. In case anyone else is in this bind, find something flat like a knife and slide it down the side of the stopper while using another narrow tool such as a screwdriver to pry in the same direction. A little work will get it out.
