Hi i am about to do my first all grain batch but don't have the time to do a yeast starter. I have a few questions. First off could i make everything and not pitch the yeast, just leave the wort in the carboy and use a liter of the wort to make a starter and then add the yeast starter in a few days? i have made extract beers and always just added the yeast with no starter after the boil and cool down with no problems. Any ideas are welcome im off to set everything up. Oh here is my recipe...
13 pounds 2 row pale malt.
1/2 pound crystal malt 10L
1/2 pound crystal malt 20L
5 gallons.
1 oz magnum 60 min
.5 oz magnum 45 min
1 oz centennial 10 min
2 oz dry hop at seconday.
This is my first attempt at all grain trying to make a simple ipa any ideas on recipe would be great too. i will post pictures later today when i get going.
