Hi everyone,

So, I have 6 batches under my belt (a couple amber ales, a couple IPAs, and a grapefruit IPA), but I've been wanting to do something a little heavier. My highest ABV was 7.5%. I've seen a few recipes here and there for black IPAs, so I thought I'd blend some of them together to create my own for a IIPA. What could I change/add to this, do you all think? Any suggestions would be super helpful and appreciated. Thanks!

60 min boil, 5 gallon batch -
Fermentables:
12.5 lbs. Gold LME
1.0 lb. Midnight wheat (steeped)
10 oz. CaraMunich III (also steeped)
(I've thought about adding 1.5 lbs. or 2 lbs. of honey to this, but I wasn't sure what, if any, effect this would have on taste).

Hop schedule:
1.5 oz. Magnum (60 min)
1 oz. Centennial (30 min)
1 oz. Simcoe (30 min)
1 oz. Chinook (5 min)
1 oz. Magnum (flame out)
.5 oz. Simcoe (flame out)
.5 oz. Chinook (flame out)
.5 oz. Magnum (dry hop)
1 oz. Centennial (dry hop)
.5 oz. Chinook (dry hop)
1.5 oz. Simcoe (dry hop)
(10 oz. total - 100 IBU exactly calculated)

Calculated out to 9.0% ABV at an assumed 75% attenuation (1.093 OG and 1.023 FG). I'm not sure between Safale US-05 or Wyeast 1056. Definitely will have a yeast starter. Would I be able to get better attenuation than 75%?

Is this even a feasible recipe? Did I go too heavy on the LME? Thanks again for your help.
