My aunt is shipping 4 corneys up to me from Tampa FL to Duluth MN. She went to the UPS store and they told her they would have to ship them in 2 shipments and they quoted her $62 each, so over $120 total. I know this cant be right as any ebay seller charges about 40 to ship 4 of them. I need some advice to figure out how to explain to my aunt to have them shipped to me for a decent price.

Thanks

first don't go to the UPS store. they are an independent organization with the UPS name. some legal thing that cropped up a few years back. they can charge what ever they want. go to the actual UPS hub near you. it can be a pain because of their hours but it should be cheaper. also tell you aunt to depressurize them before shipping and don't tell the UPS person whats actually in the box.

UPS wont care that there are corny's in there as long as there is no beer in them. When I ship I get the large moving box at lowes and put four in there . Go directly to UPS not the store.

well it turned out that the ups store found a different box that all four fit in, but charged $15 for the box. Ended up being $60 total, which I can live with. Im certain I could have saved a few dollars, but couldnt really ask my aunt to make several extra trips, she was already going out of her way to do me a favor. Plus the tanks were free...
